Privacy Policy
Privacy, across every timeline.
Last updated September 8, 2026
This policy describes how 136 Media handles information in The Janus Engine, on its pages at 136media.com, and when you contact support.
1. The app
The Janus Engine does not require player registration or login. It does not include advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking SDKs. The current app does not transmit player data to a 136 Media backend.
The app does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or location. Android package: com.janusengine.game.
2. Data stored on your device
Game progress, choices, archive and timeline history, and settings are stored locally. The Android app uses Capacitor Preferences and device-managed storage. The browser version uses localStorage.
136 Media does not receive this local gameplay data through the current app. Other people with access to your device or browser profile may be able to access or erase it.
3. Android backup
Android backup is enabled. Android or your backup provider may include saved app data in a device backup, depending on your device, account, and backup settings. Those backups are operated by the platform or provider rather than 136 Media and are governed by their terms and privacy policies.
Clearing the app’s local data may not erase an existing backup. Review and manage device backups separately through Android or your backup provider.
4. Deleting local data
You can erase local progress and settings through Android Settings → Apps → The Janus Engine → Storage → Clear storage or Clear data. Menu names vary by device. In a browser, clear the site’s stored data using your browser controls.
An Origin Reset changes the game timeline while preserving some history. It is a gameplay mechanic, not complete data deletion. Uninstalling the app generally removes its local app data, but a platform backup may remain and may restore data later.
5. Support correspondence
If you contact support@136media.com, you voluntarily provide your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. 136 Media uses that information to answer your request and investigate reported problems. Email providers process the message as needed to deliver and store it.
Do not send passwords, payment information, or unnecessary personal information. 136 Media has not stated a fixed retention period for support correspondence. Information may be retained as needed to handle the request, maintain relevant records, protect the service, or meet legal obligations.
6. This website
The Janus Engine pages at 136media.com do not provide accounts, payment forms, advertising, or analytics. The site does not set tracking cookies or use browser storage for advertising.
The website’s hosting and security providers may process technical request information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, timestamp, and security events to deliver and protect the site. This website activity is separate from gameplay data stored by the app.
7. Sharing and sale
136 Media does not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Information may be processed by service providers that host and secure the website or deliver email, or disclosed when required by law or needed to protect rights, safety, and the service.
8. Children
The app does not provide player accounts or a way to submit personal information to 136 Media. If you believe a child has sent personal information through a support message, contact us so the request can be reviewed.
9. Changes and contact
This policy may change when the app, website, or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
For privacy questions or requests, contact 136 Media at support@136media.com.
